Thai-Laos Friendship bridgeis a bridge over the Mekong, connecting Nong Khai province and the city of Nong Khai in Thailand with Vientiane in Laos.
Pho chai temple (Wat Pho Chai; Wat means temple)is famed for a large bronze-Buddha with a solid gold head decorated with precious stones called Luang Pho Phra Sai. This Buddha image was shipped across the Mekong and fell into the water during a storm where it sat for 25 years. It was salvaged and spent some years in another Thai temple before being moved to Wat Pho Chai. The image is the focal point of a procession around Nong Khai during the annual Songkran Festival.
Prap Ho monument was built in 1886 and is situated in front of the old town hall for commemorating the victory over the insurrection by Ho tribesmen.
Lamduan Temple (Wat Lamduan) is famed for a largest bronze-buddha called Luang Pho Bun Khum. On the last February, Wat Lamduan held a worshipping ceremony to celebrate Luang Pho Bun Khum. You can come to visit Wat Lamduan at Moo 8, Michai road, Muang, Nong Khai.
Moreover, This temple is the place where a worshipping ceremony and a food fair to celebrate the Naka fire balls which held on October in every year.
